To register for SFHDC’s Workshops or meet with a counselor:

  1. Complete a pre-qualification Intake Form.  Click HERE to download a form.
  2.  
  3. Return the form: fax it to 415-822-1077 or email it to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). You may also mail it or drop it off our Homeownership Center at 4439 Third Street (between Kirkwood & La Salle).

  5. Upon receipt, a certified housing or financial counselor will contact you within 2 to 5 days to confirm and register you for a workshop.

COMMUNITY HOMEBUYERS WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

Each month SFHDC offers an in-depth pre-purchase homebuyer workshop designed to inform renters about the entire home buying process. We inform you about the financial benefits of owning your own home.  It maybe one of the best investments you will ever make. Our workshop is a necessary step to qualify for down-payment assistance available to you through local government agencies and non-profit organizations.  You could be eligible to receive over $100,000 in down-payment assistance. 

Location:  Varies.
Every third Saturday of the month, 9am-3pm

FINANCIAL FITNESS WORKSHOPS

Our Financial Fitness Program empowers you to learn the 3 most important steps to homeownership: Budget, Credit, and Savings.  This four hour workshop will help you improve your credit score, balance your budget, and develop a savings plan.  Once you achieve these important steps you are closer to becoming a first-time homeownership and reaching financial stability.  Register for our next workshop scheduled on the following dates:

Every fourth Thursday, 3 -6 pm.
