Take your first step to homeownership

SFHDC’s Financial Fitness Program is designed to help families and individuals develop the self-confidence and self-discipline it takes to purchase a home. We customize our services to meet the individual needs of our clients. Our goal is to empower each client to learn the 3 most important steps to homeownership: Budget, Credit, and Savings.  This program consists of a 4 hour workshop and 4 hours of counseling that satisfy the City of San Francisco’s 8 hour homebuyer education requirement.  Our one-on-one counseling services will help clients improve their credit score, balance their budget, and develop a savings plan.  As a HUD-Approved Counseling Agency, our services provide the certification necessary to become eligible for the various local, state, and federal homeownership programs.
