Osiris Coalition
Mission
The Osiris Coalition is dedicated to cultivating and empowering the African American community and people of color in San Francisco, in the mega-region of the Bay Area and beyond. Osiris therefore works to realize comprehensive community development by engaging and unifying an active network of community-based organizations and individuals that are committed to creating new opportunities and eliminating persistent disparities faced by African Americans and the Black community at-large. Unity, Advocacy and communications is the cornerstone of Osiris' mission to achieve political and economic power in areas as affordable housing, healthcare, jobs, education, and economics.
Vision Statement
To eliminate poverty, inequality, and strengthen African American and Black communities by building a strong network of member organizations and individuals committed to supporting Osiris’ mission by serving as advocates to ensure economic and political power among Black people in the United States of America and around the world. In realizing this vision, Osiris will organize a strong united front within the African American Community that will influence political and corporate leaders, shape policies and laws, and increase wealth to ensure a better quality of life for all people of color.
Membership Information
Our Membership Benefits include:
- Receive reduced registration fees and access to conferences, workshops, special events and presentations sponsored by Osiris Coalition
- Opportunities to receive technical assistance, financial and housing counseling services, scholarships for trainings, and other resources for you and the affiliates associated with your organization (i.e., staff, members, clients)
- Access to OSIRIS Database for marketing and outreach purposes
- Free copies of policy briefings, publications, and reports that provide relevant information, research and data on major political initiatives affecting African Americans
- Support for local, regional, and national policies and issues on housing, healthcare, education, safety, and economic development that affect the Black community and your organization’s mission
Donations
Osiris is a non-profit organization that operates on gifts and grants made by individuals and institutions. A tax-deductible contribution or gift made by you will help further Osiris’ mission and realize its vision. All proceeds will contribute to the work and programs established by the organization to fulfill Osiris’ goals of strengthening the quality of life of African Americans, Blacks and other people of color.
