Program Support
Creating Homebuyers
SFHDC’s Community Home-buying Program is designed to educate and counsel low and moderate-income families. Intensive workshops introduce prospective homeowners to the home buying process and the benefits of homeownership as well as highlight housing assistance programs offered through various entities. SFHDC also serves as a liaison between the buyer, the developer, the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, and potential lenders.
Building Affordable Homes
SFHDC is proud that all of its properties and developments are 100% affordable and located within low-income, minority communities. We have developed over 350 new homes valued at over $75 million.
General Operating
Your donation today will help sustain our organization, and allow us to continue our program and services which benefit moderate and low-income working families. Our annual budget is $1.5 million per year, and 30% of it contributes to general operating (i.e., administrative services, community outreach, marketing, and non-personnel, etc.)
Foreclosure Prevention
This program provides a solution to troubled homeowners that have defaulted on their loans and facing foreclosure better understand their options and provides them with resources to stabilize their situation and retain their assets.
Supportive Services
Help families with mental, physical and financial challenges achieve self-sufficiency and financial stability with a donation to our supportive services program. Your donation will provide financing for tutoring programs, case management services, financial counseling, family and youth field trips, lunch program, food bank, physical and mental fitness programs, drug rehabilitation programs and a referral service.
SFHDC Equity Fund
The Fund addresses the tremendous need for affordable housing in the San Francisco Bay Area. It was established to rebuild and strengthen communities that have been neglected for decades, and now are desperately in need of revitalization.
